Here is half the future of the Brewers...

Mat Gamel is the top prospect of the Brewers along with Alcides Escobar. Here are some pics from Gamel's first start as a Brewer.

That ball is fair and he threw the runner out.
Home run total is actually one...in this pic it is counting down.

On another note...here is why I love sports, more importantly baseball. Baseball is the sport with the most superstitions or superstitious players, e.g dont talk to a pitcher that is throwing a perfect game, rally hats, etc. Well it is even better when you the fan can become part of that superstition. I was watching the game tonight, Bush had a troubling first inning and the Brewers were down 1-0. Well I wasnt wearing a Brewer hat, I put on my Brewer hat and the Brewers scored and ended up winning. It is nice to believe that putting on my hat was the cause of a Brewers victory.

  1. Styx, I gotta give out some congrats to the Brewers. They are playing solid baseball so far this season. Too bad about Weeks though, but their offense should pull through just fine as long as the defense can keep up their end. I thought for sure the Cubs would dismantle the Cards like the Brewers but it appears the Cards are actually a good team and the Brewers are playing great ball right now.

I love the superstitions too. Not only do you not talk to a pitcher when they are throwing a no-no, you don't even sit anywhere near them. I do love baseball a lot.

  2. You know the superstition is true but tonight I went out with some vb guys to see some people before I left for Sweden. I wore a hat and a jersey to make up for not watching the game. Well I guess watching the game is tops, then comes the apparel.
