Here is half the future of the Brewers...

Mat Gamel is the top prospect of the Brewers along with Alcides Escobar. Here are some pics from Gamel's first start as a Brewer.

That ball is fair and he threw the runner out.
Home run total is actually one...in this pic it is counting down.

On another note...here is why I love sports, more importantly baseball. Baseball is the sport with the most superstitions or superstitious players, e.g dont talk to a pitcher that is throwing a perfect game, rally hats, etc. Well it is even better when you the fan can become part of that superstition. I was watching the game tonight, Bush had a troubling first inning and the Brewers were down 1-0. Well I wasnt wearing a Brewer hat, I put on my Brewer hat and the Brewers scored and ended up winning. It is nice to believe that putting on my hat was the cause of a Brewers victory.

How About Those Brewers...

Now the critics say that the Brewers have always won because they hit the long ball and demolish their opponents on the offensive side of the ball. Well last night (not including the 7th inning) their defense was tops. Let this picture of Ryan Braun do the talking.

Not only did Ryan Braun contribute but "Mr. Clutch" himself, Craig Counsell had an amazing stab at second base, along with top prospect, Mat Gamel preventing a double from squeeking up the third base line.

The loss of Rickie Weeks is a big blow to the team but if we keep playing defense like this...along with 1-0 victories, nothing can stop us.

P.S. I love the DVR function on MLB.TV. A little rewind, pause and print screen can give you awesome pics immediately.

Instead of music, we'll have some video highlights...

The Final Weeks of School

As many of you know, this is my last semester of college. Last weekend I went down to Matt and Kim's even though I probably should have used the weekend to do homework. Went to the Brewer game and filled out some drawing for World Series tickets in the parking lot. Well I didnt get the tickets yet but I did get a free cruise to the Bahamas, kinda cool. We'll see what the details are though. Anyway here are some pics of the weekend, actually just of Alfie and Indy.

We have been having some great weather up here for the most part. Yesterday my college (CEHD) gave away free Jimmy Johns, drink, chips and shirts as an end of the year celebration so inbetween class and that I rode my bike around campus and took some pics, here is a sample.

Here some sweet muzak for ya to wrap your ears around...
